In each project pupils are tasked with problems to solve and challenges to meet. The Project Catalogue
The Mars Outbreak Project
The year is 2152, and your class represent the Council of one of four colonies on Mars. Earth is overpopulated, and competition over resources is extremely fierce. Many see Mars as the answer to their problems. The project tasks your class with managing the crisis. Can they save the Mars colonies? The Mars Outbreak Project is a KS2 project that encompasses science, maths, D.T, English, PSHE and citizenship. The project also has a focus on encouraging and reinforcing national curriculum skills.
The Pixel Kingdom Project
This project revolves around the character Chip who lives in the Pixel Kingdom. Chip journeys round the kingdom meeting a variety of characters with a modern twist on traditional stories. Accompanying the project is a storybook which follows Chip's journey through the kingdom. This book can be displayed on a whiteboard and shared with the class, or printed out and read.
The Pixel Kingdom Project is a KS1 project incorporating English, D.T, science, maths, geography and phonics using the included learning journal to track pupils progress.
The Heart and Mind Project
The challenge in this project is to answer the question "Why is my heartbeat the rhythm of my life?". In gathering evidence to support their conclusions pupils will learn about the function of the heart and lungs, making healthy choices, the effect of exercise on heart rate and communicating effectively.
The Heart & Mind Project is a KS2 project encompassing science, English, ICT, PSHE, DT, PE and music in an innovative and engaging approach.
