Computeam recognised by Department for Education for EdTech services

Computeam Limited are delighted to announce they have been recognised as a quality ICT supplier to schools by the Department For Education, completing a recent treble in winning places on major procurement frameworks.

The DFE has a list of recommended frameworks for schools to use for ICT services, and Computeam has now won a place on three of them in what is an extremely rare achievement.

Computeam - as a relatively small business - has demonstrated its deep specialism in the education sector and all the staff are extremely proud to have been recognised for the passion they have for delivering high quality technology to schools.

The importance of excellent technology in schools is becoming more and more apparent and this has been illustrated through the company’s journey in recent years.

In 2016, Computeam was put on the Crescent Purchasing Consortium framework for ICT Solutions and Supply of Network Infrastructure and as a result has helped Further Education colleges and schools with more complex IT services such as audit and network design.

Earlier this year, the company was placed on the Think IT framework which allows for purchase of products, services and combined solutions in the pan-public sector framework.

Most recently, Computeam is now one of just 21 companies on Lot 1 of the Crown Commercial Service's Education Technology Framework. This £550million framework is the DFE’s preferred route for new school builds and refurbishments.

This is a huge achievement for the company and will create opportunities which can push it that one step further to work on innovative new services and grow the impact on schools across the country.

Owen Napier, Managing Director of Computeam said: “There are very few Edtech companies that have a place on all three of these frameworks, and it is testament to the quality and dedication of Computeam’s staff that we have been able to achieve this significant milestone in our company’s growth journey.”

Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.
