What is Safer Internet Day?
Safer Internet Day, celebrated every February, serves as a global reminder of the importance of safe and positive digital interactions for children and young people. It's a day that reinvigorates the global conversation surrounding responsible, respectful, and creative technology usage.
Coordinated in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre, Safer Internet Day unites over a hundred countries under the joint Insafe/INHOPE network, with support from the European Commission and national Safer Internet Centres across Europe. Its key mission is to ensure that young people have access to a safe and wholesome online environment, regardless of how they engage with these fundamental digital tools.
In this Microsoft accredited course, we will take a deep dive into Microsoft Search Coach as not only a digital literacy tool, but one which supports safer searching to keep children safe in education.
