Computeam continues to be recognised by Department for Education for EdTech services

Here at Computeam Limited, we are pleased to announce that we continue to be recognised as a high-quality ICT supplier for educational establishments by the Department for Education. We have recently won places on major procurement frameworks that demonstrate the value of our education technology to schools.

The DFE runs a competitive tender process for suppliers of IT systems and solutions to education establishments to ensure schools have a government approved route to procurement. Over the past two years Computeam have secured places on two of the biggest frameworks CPC and ThinkIT. In early 2019 the DFE retendered a replacement framework to the now obsolete RM1050 agreement with 5 differing lots all forming part of the new RM6103 framework agreement.

Computeam, despite being a relatively small company of 52 employees , decided that with the high skill set within the organisation and the majority of the company  £5million turnover being derived from the education sector that they should bid on 4 of the 5 available lots.

Computeam are delighted to be awarded places on each of the 4 lots they submitted a tender response for. These are known as lots 1,3, 4 and 5.

In recent years, the need for technology investment in schools has been highlighted. And as a result, schools are now investing millions into systems to help students achieve more.

A worthwhile journey

Computeam has been on a fantastic journey over the last few years, with our passion, determination and expertise driving forward our technology.

2016 - Became a recommended supplier to schools and higher educational settings for complex IT services which can include network design and auditing. This was demonstrated by our inclusion in the Crescent Purchasing Consortium framework.

Jan 2019 - added to the Think IT framework. This promotes our suitability for the purchase of services, products or combined solutions within the pan-public sector.

June/July 2019 RM6103 wins: Computeam, one of select group of national companies, were awarded onto the Crown Commercial Service’s Education Technology RM6103 Framework’s Lot 1,3,4,&5.

Lot1 - is worth a reported £550 million and is the Department’s preferred option when schools have new builds or are looking for a refurbishment.

Lot 3 - broadband services, Computeam supply educational settings with full-fibre broadband. This includes new services, upgrades, support, maintenance and security issues.

Lot 4  supply of ICT hardware, networking equipment and software. Equipment is vital for the successful implementation of technology in schools and those on the list can provide educational establishments with the quality equipment they need.

Lot 5 - audiovisual equipment, Computeam is a recognised, quality supplier and installer of sound, visual or combined systems. This can include whiteboards, televisions, digital signage and training for the equipment.

There are very few companies who are on so many of the Department for Education’s list. The fact that Computeam has achieved this outstanding feat shows the dedication our team has for helping schools deliver outstanding learning to students.

The Crown Commercial Service provides support to the public sector when they’re buying common goods and services so organisations can achieve maximum commercial value.
