Optimising Critical Educational Network Infrastructure

Often overlooked and under-invested, the network is a mission-critical area of your infrastructure. With an ever-increasing number of devices and the move of most school systems to the cloud, the switches and wireless systems that link users to the internet connection need to be seamless, fast, and secure.

Either offered as a managed service or as a one-off capital project, our advanced network design, wireless surveying tools, and skilled network engineers ensure your network is designed, installed, and configured with expertise.

Superior Network Solutions for Education

Computeam are hugely proud to offer the best in breed solutions from Aruba, Meraki and Cisco, and the strength of our partnerships and accreditation with these tier 1 companies ensure you will receive exceptional quality and the best value solution possible

Our team are trained, qualified, experienced, highly competent, and trusted to deliver complex networks within the education sector on major projects such as the recent DfE-funded Connect The Classroom Programme.

What does Computeam offer?

Computeam has been at the forefront of designing, supplying and installing cutting-edge networks in schools since our inception in 1998 where we had nationwide contracts across the country to carry out the very first networked computers in school as part of the NGFL project.

Fast forward over 25 years, and while the technology and usability have developed and improved exponentially, it still requires well-designed and well-specified services, expertly implemented by highly skilled technical consultants. This will ensure the investment you make provides a safe, secure network, fit for purpose for many years to come.

How do Computeam
provide this service?

It all starts with an initial consultation. One of our team will work with the school or trust to understand your current needs, predict future growth needs, and your device expansion plans.

Once the discovery meeting is complete, we can begin to model the network, producing predictive heatmap analysis documents to ensure full wireless coverage. We then produce a network topology diagram and engage one of our trusted cabling infrastructure partners to assess the current LAN cabling and produce a costed plan for any upgrades needed. Once all of the information is collated, and following involvement from the tier 1 vendor of choice on the project, we will present a complete and comprehensive costed proposal.

Once the order is placed, your project will be passed to one of our dedicated project managers who will liaise with all parties to ensure a smooth deployment and successful handover to the trust or school upon completion with training always included.

How can your school benefit?

Enhanced network infrastructure boosts connectivity speeds and reliability, streamlining online learning and teaching, while minimizing disruptions and latency that can impede educational activities.

Digital learning, reliant on increasing bandwidth, demands a robust network for seamless access to digital tools and content, ensuring uninterrupted 21st-century educational experiences for all users.

Educational technology growth calls for scalable network infrastructures that support an expanding array of devices and applications, enabling schools to adapt to technological advances without constant system overhauls.

Network upgrades are essential, improving performance, ensuring continuous access to digital learning resources, and enhancing security measures. This supports the integration of more devices, aids collaborative efforts, caters to BYOD initiatives, and future-proofs educational networks against evolving demands.
